The University of Arizona Percussion Studio is thrilled to announce its upcoming concert featuring the music of Michael Udow, Daniel Goode, Rob Funkhouser, and frame drum transcriptions from Jason Koontz.

Join us on March 20 at 7pm in the Laboratory for Tree Ring Research for an evening of exciting performances that will transform the space into a living, breathing instrument. The common space at Tree Ring provides the perfect backdrop for this musical journey, with its modern vibes and natural elements. The group will utilize every corner of the room, taking advantage of the space’s natural acoustics and bringing the walls to life with sound, using the sonics of the room to create a truly immersive auditory experience. All the pieces have been chosen with the venue in mind – a chance to explore site-specific programming with the ensemble.

The concert will showcase the dynamic and intricate compositions of Michael Udow and Daniel Goode, both celebrated composers in the percussion world. In addition, the studio will perform framedrum transcriptions from Jason Koontz, whose innovative arrangements have garnered international recognition. Please RSVP a free ticket at the link below.
